- On Home, tap the round button with your initial, at the top right. This opens You.
- Scroll to the bottom, to Danger zone, and tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete forever.
You are signed out right away. The rest of your data is deleted in the background, usually within minutes.
By email
Can’t open the app? Write to support@talklabapp.com with the subject “Delete my Talk Lab account”. Send it from the email address you use for Talk Lab, so we know the account is yours. We delete the account within[TODO: 30] days and tell you when it’s done.
Have a plan? Cancel it first
Deleting your account does not stop payments for a plan. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play (how). Messages you have left are lost when the account is deleted.
What we delete
- Your sign-in account: your name and email address.
- Your text chats: your messages, other versions, practice tries, the AI people’s replies, and the coach’s scores and notes.
- Talk out loud and Type it live: recordings, transcripts, reviews and memory notes.
- Drills: your answers and feedback.
- The AI people and scenes you made.
- Your progress, skill levels and settings.
- Your reports of AI messages.
- Your messages left and their history.
What may be kept
- Usage records. For each AI request we keep the time, the AI model, its size and its cost, for our accounts. We remove the link to you, and they don’t contain what you wrote or said.
- Purchase records. Apple or Google, and RevenueCat (the service that checks purchases for us), keep their own records of what you bought, under their own rules. We can’t delete those.
- [TODO: backups, if used: how long a deleted account can stay in a backup]
